January 5, 2003 Bottle Drive to support Scouts Trip to Newfoundland Jamboree. Meeting at the Church of the Good Shepherd at 1:00 pm Sunday and working until 3:00 pm (revised time) Consent Form Required.
January 6, 2003 Show and Tell, Welcome Back!
January 13, 2003 Working on the Law Awareness Badge.
January 20, 2003 Working on the Kub Kars (Details to Follow)
January 27, 2003 Kub Kar weigh-in, Prepare Touch lights, Valentine's Day Craft, Guest Speaker,

February is Operation Good Deed Month.  Each member in the Scouting is encouraged to do a good deed for someone each day, (This does not include things that should be considered “chores” or deeds that people get paid for.)


February 3, 2003 Pack Kub Kar Race, Parents are encouraged to stay and cheer on the cubs.
February 10, 2003

Skating Party on the lake at Fun Forest. 6:00 pm to 7:45 pm, weather permiting. Parents welcome to stay. Dress warm. If the ice is not safe we will work on our torches and other badge work in the cabin. (Yes, we will have hot chocolate!)

February 15, 2003

Area Linkage Event, Consent Form required (Details to Follow).

1ST & 2ND YEAR CUBS will work on an artistic challenge in the gym at Knox Church with the white tail Beavers. Registration time 12:45 pick up 2:30 p.m

3RD YEAR CUBS will work OUTSIDE with the 1st and 2nd year scouts on a cooking challenge. Registration time: 12:00 pick up at 2:30 p.m. (Dress for the weather...hat, mitts, ski pants, boots, etc. Bring along some extra gloves/mitts and a couple pairs of socks.)

February 17, 2003

The Annual Baden Powell Service for all of Scouting and Guiding will take place at H.T.B. School from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. We are acting as host to this service and have been asked to help with the setup of the gym for this event. Please arrive at 6:00 p.m. as usual. Please remember INDOOR FOOTWEAR! and do not forget your Campfire Blanket. Parents are encouraged to stay...we could use some parent assistance with serving cake and juice to the Scouting youth after the campfire.

February 20, 2003

Torch Light Parade. Don't forget your torches. Consent Form required We will meet at the Sackville Super Store parking lot at 6:15 p.m. and march down the sidewalk along Sackville Drive to Knox United Church. We will have a "campfire" service outside in the parking lot. This will take approximately one hour and Parents are encouraged to join in with us. DRESS FOR THE WEATHER!!

Finding a Geo-Cache. Meeting at HTB school at 2:00pm. Parents are encouraged to participate. Consent Form Required, we will have them available to sign.

Group Camp registration forms are due in. Canvassing for Scout Trees, Meeting at H.T.B, parents are encouraged to assist.

April 21, 2003 NO Cub Meeting. (Easter Monday).

May 3-4, 2003 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp (Includes all Beavers, Cubs, and Scouts in Beaver Bank) Details to follow.

May 10, 2003 Cub Fun Day at York ReDoubt, Consent Form Required.
May 12, 2003 Outdoor Campfire at Fun Forest, and Beaver Swim-up, meet at the gate at 6:00 pm. Parents are encouraged to attend.

May 31, 2003 Closing Party.
