Winter 2008 Schedule

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the Hall with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

NOTICE : Beavers are NOT ALLOWED to wear BOOTS into the HALL.

NOTICE : Our meeting place (pond) is the Brown Hall, 351 Beaver Bank Road. Phone Number 865-0757. We usually meet on a Wednesday night at the Brown Hall from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, but as you will see from this program we have events taking place on different nights in different locations, so to avoid any disappointments always refer to this program. Beavers bring $1.00 a week dues, this helps to pay for crafts, treats, and some badges etc.

Jan 23 2008, Climate Change/Beach Day fun and games.

Jan 26 2008, (Saturday) Sespenaak Centre Winterfest. Don't forget to dress warm. This event is for all sections of Scouting in Sespenaak. It should be a great time, snack & hot chocolate are provided. Please wear your red knecker out side your coat for easy identification.

Jan 30 2008, Groundhog Day crafts and games. White tails obtain Silver Streak.

Feb 6 2008, Decorating our flashlights for Scout/Guide parade. (Please bring a 10" or longer flashlight).

Feb 8-9 2008, (FRIDAY night -SAT morning) 4th Annual Sleep-over in 1st Sackville Church Hall, details to follow.

Feb 13 2008, Valentine exchange, crafts.Please bring at least 20 cards with your Beavers name on them. .

Scout / Guide Week, in honour of Lord and Lady Baden-Powell.

Feb 17 2008, (Sunday) Scouting Youth Church Service, Knox United Church Details to follow.

Feb 18 2008, (Monday) Thinking Day Service at Fun Forest Camp,in honour of our Founder Lord Baden Powell's 151th birthday. The B.P. Campfire is hosted by B Pack, all of Beaver Bank Scouting are invited. Don't forget your Campfire Blanket.

Feb 20 2008, (Wednesday) Tourch Light Parade - 6:15 @ Sycamore Lane School, parade will end at Knox United. Uniform click here to find out where is Sycamore Lane School

Feb 22 2008, Baden-Powell's 151th Birthday! (FYI only, no event scheduled)

Feb 24 2008, Moosehead Hockey. 2:00 at the Metro Centre. Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, Ventures, Rovers, Leaders & their families from all over Halifax Area (formerly Halifax Region) will be in attendance. A special crest will be issued. All tickets are $9.50 from the Scout Shop. Money will be collected (due date to be confirmed) and tickets purchased so that the whole Colony will sit together. Uniform is required.

Feb 27 2008, Building and painting our Beaver Buggies. Please no uniforms. wear old clothes. Cost of Buggies will be $3.50. to each Beaver..

Mar 4 2008, (Tuesday) Racing our buggies At Monarch School with A colony, please arrive at 6.30pm pick up at 7.30pm.

Mar 5 2008, No meeting .. due to Tuesday Races.

Mar 12 2008, No Meeting - March Break.

Mar 19 2008, Easter egg decorating and mystery hunt for eggs.
