Fall 2008 Schedule

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the Hall with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

NOTICE : Beavers are NOT ALLOWED to wear BOOTS into the HALL.

NOTICE : Our meeting place (pond) is the Brown Hall, 351 Beaver Bank Road. Phone Number 865-0757. We usually meet on a Wednesday night at the Brown Hall from 6:30pm to 7:30pm, but as you will see from this program we have events taking place on different nights in different locations, so to avoid any disappointments always refer to this program. Beavers bring $1.00 a week dues, this helps to pay for crafts, treats, and some badges etc.

Sep 24 2008, B Colony beavers will commence, this will be a welcome night with games and songs for new and returning Beavers. Juice and cookies will be provided

Oct 1 2008, Bring a friend night, do you know a friend who would like to try beavers, bring him or her along for a night of fun. We will be learning about the beaver colony. Learn about river banks, beaver dam. Opening and closing. We’ll throw in a couple of games too

Oct 8 2008, Reading a chapter from friends of the forest. We will be making a new and interesting thanksgiving craft to take home.

Oct 15 2008, Investiture night for new kits joining Beavers and the presentation of new colors for returning Beavers. Colours are awarded for age, eg. 5 years of age – brown tail, 6 years – blue tail, 7 years – white tail 8 years. Parents please note we supply the neckers, woggles, badges and tails for your Beavers. WE INVITE ALL PARENTS/GUARDIANS TO ATEND THIS NIGHT AS YOU HAVE AN IMPORTANT PART TO PLAY IN YOUR CHILD’S BEAVER PROGRAM. THE LEADERS WOULD LIKE TO MAKE THIS EVENING AN EXTRA SPECIAL NIGHT, SO REFRESHEMENTS WILL BE APPRECIATED. DUE TO ALLERGIES THIS WILL BE NUT FREE..

Oct 25 2008, Apple Day We will be going around Woodbine giving out apples and taking donations for the area fundraiser. Arrive at the Brown Hall at 10am.

Oct 26 2008, Sunday – Area Beaveree a fun time for all. Details to follow.

Oct 29 2008, Our Hoot and Hollar Halloween party, treats would be appreciated from the parents. No nuts please!!

Nov 5 2008, No beavers – Parent teacher night.

Nov 10 2008, Monarch Drive Elementary will have a Remembrance Service, please wear your uniform to school.

Nov 11 2008, Remembrance Day parade. We will be meeting at the Kinsac school at 10:00AM and parade down to the fire hall for the ceremony.

Nov 12 2008, Bring a friend night. We will be making Christmas ornaments to take to our friends at the scotia nursing home. Working on Waste Reducer Badge.

Nov 18 2008, Sespenaak Centre Area Beaver movie night, at the Vineyard Church on Sackville Dr. Details to follow.

Nov 19 2008, No Meeting we just had a movie night.

Nov 31 - 22 2008, Our first camp at H T Barrett Fun Forest Camp 1901 Beaver Bank Road. This will be a Christmas camp. Details to follow

Nov 26 2008, Our third annual Christmas visit to Scotia Nursing home. Details to follow.

Dec 6 2008, Due to the Christmas concerts we will be holding our Christmas closing party at the bowling alley on this Saturday afternoon from 2pm to 4pm. Details to follow.

Jan 7 2009, Show , tell and share a toy night..
