Spring 2004 Schedule

NOTICE : "Parent Consent Forms" must be filled out, signed and dated for all events or activities not held at our usual meeting place (Our Pond) Beaver Bank Monarch Drive Elementary School. This is a Scouts Canada requirement. Consent Forms will be supplemented with a "Physical Fitness Certificate". Thank you for your cooperation. Effective Jan 2001 we can now use the new "List Type Consent Form" for Tours & Fundraisers.

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the school with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mar 16 2004, No beavers, have a fun march break!

Mar 23 2004, Nature hike and nature bingo through Monarch estates trail.

Mar 27-28 2004, Spring Camp - to be held at Fun Forest Camp , details to follow. Deadline for registration is Mar 23.

Mar 30 2004, Lucky us the reptile lady is visiting. Sing songs at Scotia Nursing home at the Villa, more details to follow.

Apr 6 2004, Easter party and Easter egg hunt. cancelled we have no access to the school.

Apr 13 2004, Police Tour - be at the Sackville RCMP 6:15 Sharp for the tour.

Apr 20 2004, Scout Trees Pledge Drive. Meet at the Brown Hall 6:15 Parrents are encouraged to participate, Uniform and Concent form required.

Apr 27 2004, Beaver Buggy Races - Bring your beaver buggy we are racing all evening.

Apr 30 2004, 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp - to be held at Fun Forest Camp. This camp is for all members of 2nd Beaver Bank, there will be activities for every section. Details to follow. Preregistration is required.

May 4 2004, Movie night.

May 5 2004, Scout Trees Planting. 6:00PM meet at the Camp Gate. Wear rubber boots. remember to turn in your pledge sheet.

May 11 2004, Swim Up - This is the a big day for the white tails, today they become tenderpads and join the pack. After the swim up there will be a campfire. Uniform required. White Tails should also have there Cub Uniform on under the Beaver Vest. Parents of white tails are encouraged to attend.

May 16 2004, Jamboree on The Trail - Meet at the Brown Hall 10AM. Bring a bagged lunch and a pack to carry it. We will be exploring Victoria Park in Truro. Parent participation is greatly encouraged. some car pooling will be required. Uniform and Concent form required.

May 18 2004, Keeo Night- the Keeo's will be incharge of the activities tonight.

May 25 2004, Nova Scotia Power hazard display. We will be learning about the hidden dangers of electricity.

Jun 1 2004, Outside games night, fun and games on school field.

Jun 8 2004, Metropolitan Sackville fire station tour, fire station located next to Sackville Sports Stadium. meet at fire station 6:15, tour starts at 6:30 sharp.

Jun 15 2004, Formal campfire at Hawkeye’s, 64 Sidhu Dr. Bring campfire blanket & bug spray. 6:15pm.

Jun 22 2004, Hot Dogs & marshmellows - Last beaver meeting, party at Rainbows. 55 Sidhu Dr. treats appreciated. Campfire and hot dog roast. This will be our official closing for the 2003-2004 season but certainly not our last event. Don't forget the bug spray.

Jul 1 2004, Canada Day Parade (9:00AM) - This will be our 6th entry in the Canada Day Parade in Lr. Sackville. The parade route is from the Superstore Mall, 745 Sackville Drive to The Rock Church parking lot, 222 Sackville Drive. I am told that's 2.7km. The parade starts at 9:30AM, all Beavers should be at the Superstore no later than 9:00AM. Uniform and Concent form required. Tender pads should have their Cub Uniform. Beavers may be picked up at the Rock Church parking lot.
