Spring 2002 Schedule

NOTICE : "Parent Consent Forms" must be filled out, signed and dated for all events or activities not held at our usual meeting place (Our Pond) Beaver Bank Monarch Drive Elementary School. This is a Scouts Canada requirement. Consent Forms will be supplemented with a "Physical Fitness Certificate". Thank you for your cooperation. Effective Jan 2001 we can now use the new "List Type Consent Form" for Tours & Fundraisers.

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the school with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Mar 12 2002, March Break - no meeting

Mar 14 2002, Skating Party - Thursday 5:00-6:00 @ the Sackville Sports Stadium. All youth must wear a helmet. Please come a little before 5:00 so that we can register participants and wast as little ice time as possible. Siblings are welcome however must be accompanied by a parent. Uniform(except hat) and Concent form required. Cost is $3.00 per youth.

Mar 19 2002, Beaver Buggy Racing - dont forget to bring your Beaver Buggy.
Registration for the Spring Camp must be in by now if you wish to attend.

Mar 23-24 2002, A Colony Spring Camp - Fun Forest Camp

Mar 26 2002, Lets get ready for Easter with a very bunny egg holder.

Apr 2 2002, Visit to Scotia Nursing Home - we will entertain our hosts with some of our favorite songs. We are to meet at the Scotia Nursing Home at 6:00PM. (pickup 7:30) Uniform and Concent form required.

Apr 8 2002, canvasing for Scout Trees. This will be done with the Cubs from B Pack. We will meet at Harold T Barrett Jr High 6:00PM. Scout Trees Froms will be handed out at that time. Parents are requested to attend. Uniform and Concent formrequired.

Apr 9 2002, Fire Station Tour - We will meet at the Fire Station @ 6:00PM, The Chief will start the tour at 6:10 so we can't be late. Station located at the corner or Metropolitan & Glendale. Uniform and Concent form required. Parents are welcome to attend. Please be back to the fire station by 7:00PM to pick up your beaver.

Apr 16 2002, Big Brown Beavers Birthday - lets have a party.

Apr 26-28 2002, 2nd Beaver Bank Group Camp - Fun Forest Camp. This camp is for all members of 2nd Beaver Bank, there will be activities for every section. Details to follow. Preregistration is required.

Apr 30 2002, TBA.

May 1 2002, Scout Trees Planting- Location TBA.

May 7 2002, Campfire at Scotia Nursing Home - we have been invited back this time to share our songs and skits at an indoor campfire. We are to meet at the Scotia Nursing Home at 6:00PM. (pickup 7:30) Uniform and Concent form required.

May 13 2002, Swim Up - This is a big deal for the white tails, today they become tenderpads and join the pack. After the swim up there will be a campfire. The swim up will be held at Fun Forest Camp, start time is 6:15 Uniform required. White Tails should also have there Cub Uniform on under the Beaver Vest. Parents of white tails are encouraged to attend.

May 14 2002, CANCELLED - No meeting.

May 18 2002, Jamboree on The Trail - Location & time TBA. Uniform and Concent form required.

May 21 2002, Transportation

May 28 2002, Hot Dogs & marshmellows - some of my favorate things to cook on a fire. Our meeting will be at Ringtails place 55 Sidhu Drive, the usual time. Parents are asked to send cookies, treets or what ever they can, thank you.  NOTE: if the weather is not appropriate for an outdoor meeting we will be at the school. This will be our official closing for the 2001-2002 season but certainly not our last event.

May 30 - Jun 2 2002, Sespenaak Area Camp - CANCELLED this camp is open to all youth from Sespenaak Area. Detailes to follow. Preregistration is required.

Jul 1 2002, Canada Day Parade (9:00AM) - This will be our 4th entry in the Canada Day Parade in Lr. Sackville. The parade route is from the Superstore Mall, 745 Sackville Drive to The Rock Church parking lot, 222 Sackville Drive. I am told that's 2.7km. The parade starts at 9:30AM, all Beavers should be at the Superstore no later than 9:00AM. Uniform and Concent form required. Tender pads should have their Cub Uniform. Beavers may be picked up at the Rock Church parking lot.
