Fall 2006 Schedule

NOTICE : In order to insure the safety of your children. Beavers must be escorted to all events including regular meetings by an adult. Please come in to the school with your Beaver for drop off or pick up. Thank you for your cooperation.

Sep 01 2006, 1st day of september - Get ready for a new School year and a new Scouting Year. Let's tell all our friends new and old how much fun we had at Beavers. Encourage them to join or at least come to a meeting and see what we do.

Sep 13 2006, Registration for 2006-2007 will take place September 13 2006, 6:30 Harold T Barrett Jr High, 862 BEAVERBANK RD.

Sep 26 2006, Our 1st A Colony meeting of the season. We all will be introducing ourselves and getting to know one another. Assembling into lodges. Dodge Ball.

Oct 3 2006, Thanksgiving craft. Think of at least five things you are thankful for before the meeting as we will need this information for the craft we will be making.

Oct 10 2006, Hike around school. Please dress appropriately for the weather. Do not forget your flashlight!!

Oct 17 2006, Don’t know yet but we’ll think of something.

Oct 24 2006, Halloween party. Come dressed in costume. We will be playing fun games. We would appreciate it if all parents could supply some sweets or treats for our party (peanut-free of course).

Oct 28 2006, Apple Day - time and location to follow. We will be sharing our apples with residents of Beaver Bank. Uniform and a smile are required. For safety parents are requested to accompany the Beavers.

Oct 29 2006, SUNDAY. Area Beaveree fun time. Details to follow.

Oct 31 2006, NO BEAVER’s - Happy Halloween!!

Nov 7 2006, We will be making a wreath for our Remembrance Day Parade.

Nov 10 2006, Monarch Drive Elementary will have a Rembrance Service at 9:30, please wear your uniform to school.

Nov 11 2006, Saturday – Remembrance Day parade.
Remembrance Day - 10:00AM We will meet in Kinsack School parking lot and parade along with other Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and members of the Guides to the cenotaph in front of the Kinsac Fire Station. Uniform Required.

Nov 14 2006, Bowling Night - from 6:30-7:30pm. Parent's are required to drop their beaver off at the Sackville Super Bowl 300 Sackville Dr. We also ask that the parent come in and pay directly at the front counter for your child's bowling shoes as you know your beaver's shoe size and it will make it a lot easier on the leaders.

Nov 21 2006, Sespenaak Centre Area Beaver movie night. Details to follow

Nov 28 2006, Even though it is still in November we will be discussing the importance of Christmas and how important it is to help or support other’s less fortunate than us during this time of year. The beaver’s will each be asked to bring in a donation for our food bank box . We will also be making a Christmas themed craft and these craft’s will be taken to Scotia Nursing Home to display on their walls and help brighten their Christmas season.

Dec 5 2006, Due to Christmas Concerts this will be our last meeting before Christmas. We will be having a small party and parents are asked to bring in something yummy and unhealthy to eat. Peanut free please.

Dec 12,19,26 2006, No Beaver Meeting, Christmas Break.

Dec 17 2006, 6PM Christmas Parade of lights. This is an oppertunity to participate or go out and watch. Details to follow.

Jan 9 2007, Show & Tell night and the beaver’s are asked to bring in an item that is not expensive or breakable. They will be expected to share their toy with other beavers so please choose wisely.
